Okay... here's the deal....

2050: Party Like the World's on Fire

2050: Party Like the World's on Fire is an annual sustainable benefit concert, art exhibition, and upcycled market focused on education and volunteer action in Northwest Arkansas. Occurring in late April, 2050 acts as an accessible youth-focused reclamation of Earth Month that prioritizes intersectionality and environmental justice.

2050 refers to the global warming and carbon emission limits currently proposed by scientists to prevent irreversible damage to the Earth. According to the United Nations, by the year 2050, the global temperature must not increase more than 1.5 degrees celsius and global emissions need to reach net-zero. 2050 attempts to direct attention to these serious and daunting goals while remaining optimistic and fun through the play on words.

The first year’s event had over three hundred attendees with three headlining performers, dozens of vendors, and numerous educational art installations. All of the proceeds went to The NWA Land Trust and the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse to aid in new trail development and conservation on Mount Kessler.
